LLA Mandate
Lesotho Library Association (LLA) is a non-profit making association which was established in 1978 after the meeting of Eastern, Central and southern African Librarians (SCECSAL) held in Kenya in 1978. The association was formed by employees from Academic Libraries, Public Libraries, School Libraries, Special Libraries and National libraries in the country. Lesotho Library Association is a member of international and regional library and information associations such as International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA), African Federation of Libraries and Information Association (AfLIA) and SCECSAL. LLA is affiliated to Lesotho Library Consortium (LELICO), which is also a national body for electronic information sharing. LLA attempts to rotate its Annual General Meetings (AGM) in the three regions of Lesotho.
